"Carved in ceramic, this centuries-old carpet embodies the beauty of time, crystallizing an enduring craft in a single moment and space.”
– Gabriele Chiave,

The distressed rug is inspired by antique carpets, this series reinterprets classical decorative elements rooted in Persian tradition. Culture and time are etched into the surface like stone, creating a space that is both distinctive and serene, enhanced by its natural tones. As time wears surfaces away, fragments are removed along the way, making change itself an integral part of the design.

This new chapter of aesthetic research translates Diesel’s disruptive attitude into a palette of layered, contemporary textures.

By blending large slab production with conventional ceramics and utilizing the DYS – Design Your Slabs technology, the collection brings to life highly structured pop surfaces that are both unique and personal. These new proposals enhance the broader Diesel Living with Iris Ceramica project, evolving the expressive language of ceramic surfaces with an even more contemporary identity.
