Decorté

2011/2021

Designed and developed under the creative direction of Gabriele Chiave
at Marcel Wanders Studio,
together with a great creative and operational team.

As the former Creative Director at Marcel Wanders studio, Gabriele Chiave co-directed the collaboration with the make-up & cosmetics brand Decorté for over ten years.

“Being able to continuously evolve a brand this long is only possible through a partnership founded on utmost respect. It is a thing of rare beauty and when that happens, there is no greater joy!” - Gabriele Chiave, Creative Director

Decorté and AQMW (2015) embody universal elegance through authentic, modern design. From packaging and advertising to store-front visuals and retail spaces, every detail reflects the brand’s commitment to scientific research, exclusive technology, and exceptional quality. The design blends luxurious sophistication with a sense of pure femininity, creating a timeless and refined experience.

With modern package design that is slender and refined, the Decorté Point Make-up (2018) express playfulness and sophistication. Presented as though they have been dipped in a precious glowing metal, the packaging features a rich, copper surface over a matte finished black base. Across the cosmetics collection the vision was to express an idea of sensuality that reminds of a woman’s body.

To celebrate Decorté's 50th anniversary, a collaboration was born between Decorté, Marcel Wanders studio and Baccarat.

To celebrate 50 years of constant innovation, craftsmanship and pursuit of true luxury, Decorté collaborated with Marcel Wanders studio and Baccarat to create an exquisite offering featuring the AQ Meliority Intensive Regenerating Multi Cream (2021). The jar is adorned with elegant curves and deep cuts creating endless reflections of light and its lid is surmounted by a red octagon, the signature of Baccarat. The crystal’s cuts refract light with geometric precision, and the elegant curves work in concert to create this iconic design. This creation embodies the essence of beauty, craftsmanship, and luxury.

A second edition of the Vice & Virtue perfume was launched to celebrate Cosme Decorte's 45th anniversay.

This perfume captures the enchanting duality of personality, blending contrasts into a harmonious scent. Available as an eau de parfum, solid perfume, and soap, it offers a beautiful, multi-sensory experience. Housed in an elegant vessel adorned with delicate crystal-cut imprints, its soft floral fragrance effortlessly bridges the gap between everyday moments and luxurious indulgence.

At Maison Decorté, connecting with nature holistically, guests emerge revitalised, refreshed and completely renewed.

Maison Decorté (2017) offers a full range of Decorté cosmetics, facial, and body treatments. Four curated environments, three treatment rooms and a retail space, each reflect nature’s profound influence on the skin. The first theme, rejuvenation, is designed to restore and inspire the body to fight gravity and spring forth life. The second room, offers the shield of a lush forest that diffuses the sun's harmful rays, warming the skin without causing damage. In the third room, a woman's skin is suspended in a perpetual state of purification. Finally, in the last of the treatment rooms, the skin is calmed and reborn in a dim and mysterious place. The Maison Decorté campaign videos, art directed by Marcel Wanders and Gabriele Chiave, capture the four areas of nature that serve as the inspiration behind the Decorté spa treatments.
