For London Design Festival 2026, YDF Interiors welcomes Gabriele Chiave, Co Founder and Creative Director of Controvento, for an evening exploring the creative process behind Alma, the iconic product designed by Controvento for Contardi.

On 15 September, Gabriele Chiave shared the story behind Alma, taking guests through the journey from the initial concept to the finished product. The conversation explored how form, materials, technology and light came together to transform an original concept into a versatile and evolving lighting system, tracing the journey of Alma from its first expression as a single design to a comprehensive family of products that has become one of the most recognisable and distinctive collections in Contardi’s portfolio

The event offered to architects, interior designers and design professionals an opportunity to discover the research, vision and creative thinking behind a collection that has become an important reference for contemporary interiors. The presentation followed by a cocktail party and networking with London’s design community.
