Gabriele Chiave was invited to take part in the AIgniting Hot Seat Raffles Talk during DesignWeek ’25 at Raffles Milano to speak about the relationship between design, artificial intelligence and the human role in the creative process.
The session explored the balance between intuition and artificial intelligence and the importance of maintaining a human-centered approach to creativity in an increasingly digital landscape. Through direct exchanges with students, the conversation addressed how instinct and computational systems can coexist within contemporary design practice.
Key themes included risk-taking, creative reinvention and integrity in design practice. The talk encouraged embracing uncertainty as an essential part of creative development and decision-making. A further focus was placed on emotional intelligence as a key factor in shaping the future of design alongside technological innovation. The event created an open space for dialogue between industry and education and invited reflection on what it means to remain human within contemporary design practice.
