The collection Alma combines two timeless classics: the fabric shade and the blown glass bubble in which it is immersed, creating a floating, contemporary effect. 

The collection expresses a perfect harmony between technological performance and creative sensitivity: the innovative lampshade technology integrates LEDs directly into the structure, completely concealing the light source. A technical solution that allows the lampshade to be illuminated without the use of visible bulbs, a refined optical illusion that emphasises the essential design of the object.

"We wanted to combine two artisanal elements, the fabric lampshade and the blown glass bubble, to create a dialogue between tradition and innovation. The idea was to bring out the magic of two classic materials, which are rediscovered and transformed together, creating a poetic as well as innovative light, capable of moving and amazing," explains Gabriele Chiave, Co-founder and Creative Director of Controvento.

Each element in the collection is designed to transform light into a poetic and surprising presence, redefining space with elegance.

Alma blends nostalgia and innovation, inspired by the classic pleated shade but reimagined with undulating glass for an ethereal, almost mystical feel. With three sculptural glass forms, the collection explores versatility through compositions ranging from single installations to striking light arrangements. From below, a surprising void appears, making the shade seem empty while casting a soft, diffused glow. Designed for flexibility, Alma can be arranged like a string of beads, whether as a table lamp, a totem, or a bold cluster, perfect for any space, from a cozy home to a grand hotel lobby.
